Since opening its doors in Katonah, NY in 2021, Chroma Fine Art Gallery has served as an intimate and welcoming place to view fine art by local and international artists. Sited in Westchester County, a region rife with cultural institutions and artistic offerings, Chroma stands out for its ambitious program of twelve exhibitions per year. Each month owner Rita Baunok transforms the gallery with a thoughtfully-curated, exceptional selection of paintings, photographs, sculptures and mixed-media works. Rita Baunok – owner & curator

Rita Baunok is the owner and curator of Chroma Fine Arts Gallery in Katonah, NY. She is also an award-winning photographer, who has served as a leader, curator, mentor and teacher in the field of photography in Westchester County since 2006. Baunok holds an M.F.A. in Photography from the University of Hartford, CT and a B.F.A. in Photography from Purchase College, NY. She pursues long-term photography projects, creating bodies of work that visually document stories, relationships and ideas about people and places. She savors the process of research, the joy of physical and technical exploration, and the satisfaction of creating beautiful objects in her darkroom. Her photographs have been exhibited in the United States, Hungary and Colombia; and are part of several collections. She is a Hungarian-born American, who lives and works in Katonah, NY.

Gergely Pap – owner & designer

Gergely Pap is the co-owner of and lead designer at Chroma Fine Art Gallery. He brings a strong background in graphic design, social media marketing, web design, illustration and business development. Pap holds a B.A. in Business Management and Tourism from Budapest Business University in Hungary. He travels frequently and stays well-informed of the latest design trends and technology. Before co-founding Chroma Fine Art Gallery with his mother, Rita Baunok, Pap co-owned and operated successful Escape Game businesses in Hungary and Manhattan for years until the venues closed due to Covid-19. His NYC venue had over 100,000 players, was rated five starts with 1000+ reviews, and won consecutive awards from TripAdvisor, Yelp and Google Business. At Chroma Fine Art Gallery, he shares his mother’s passion for creating an accessible, welcoming experience, whether through the Gallery’s printed materials, online presence, or physical exhibition space.
