Until the age of 8, my significant hearing loss went undiagnosed. The quiet (almost silent?) world I lived in as a child nurtured a heightened appreciation of my visual world. So enamored by the intense kaleidoscope of colors and shapes surrounding me that an intense love of drawing and painting was born. It was at the age of five, while still in kindergarten that I declared I would be an Artist. Today the paintings I create spring from my earliest loves of art, my horses, time in nature and in my garden. Travel and adventure also deeply feed my souls and creative process. The inspiration for paintings that I discover in places such as NYC, Taos, Sausalito, and Martha’s Vineyard are as much an integral part of my works as my paint brushes.
