Marilyn Miller

Marilyn Mazin Miller is a contemporary sculptor and installation artist whose work ranges from representational to abstract. She is a native of Louisville, KY and was reared in an artistic home, inspired and influenced by her mother, Bernice Mazin, who was an accomplished painter. Marilyn graduated from NYU with a degree in Early Childhood Education and she has studied ceramic and jewelry art.

When looking at her work, Marilyn hopes that people appreciate the warmth and beauty of nature – the smoothness and curvaceousness of the human body, the plant world, and the animal kingdom. Working with a variety of materials, including clay, bronze, and stainless steel, she is fascinated with movement, rhythm, and fluidity. Her work exudes sensuality, strength, warmth, and humor.

Marilyn has studied with master craftspeople in New York and Italy. Her work has been shown at such respected venues as the Viridian Gallery, the Grounds for Sculpture, and the Katonah Museum of Art, among others. She is presently represented by the River Gallery in Narrowsburg, NY and her work is in many private collections.
