Artist Statement – Climb
A new sculpture, entitled “Climb”, will be exhibited at the Valentines Music Show, February 15, 2020 in Bedford, NY. hosted by songwriter, Tom O’Brien. The work is a repurposed red heart shape near the top of a ladder/scale. The idea inspiring the piece was the movement of an emotional heart and it’s journey in time. The ladder/scale is the measurement. The sculpture implies that the heart can move up or down. Created in 2020, 23”h. x 8”w. x 5”d., welded steel with paint.
