Artist statement:

Flowers offer a combination of chaos and organization — folding petals that are symmetrical but are simultaneously not, intricate interiors offering homes to creatures, vivid greens to lure the eye. It is always a challenge to portray and do justice to the color combinations found in nature. It’s never one color – just finding the matching shades and complementary hues is a journey in itself. I can paint the same flower again and again and never get bored — each flower is unique in its own way, like snowflakes.
