Artist Statement – Jacqueline Lorieo
My sculpture is based on the forms and movements of the human body. I try to incorporate universal themes of humanity and science into my pieces. Each one has an underlying subtle story. I feel it is important to express my feelings in a work as a way of showing part of myself. My background in nursing and Occupational Therapy provided a base of knowledge to work from.
