Marilyn D. Glass
Marilyn Glass works in a variety of mediums – Collage, Watercolor, Oil Paint, Monotype, Pastel and Pencil. She has been a Design Editor for Bride’s Magazine, The Ladies Home Journal and ran a successful Interior Design Business for twenty-five years. She has taught collage and sketching to adults and children, notably at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Her work has been shown at several local galleries and at a private viewing at the Katonah Museum of Art. She has authored a Visual Memoir and two memoirs of her beloved granddaughters. Marilyn attended Boston University and The Columbia School of General Studies where she majored in English Literature. She studied drawing at Pratt Institute, The Art Students League and painting and collage at The Silvermine Arts Center. Marilyn has served as Vice President of Bedford Audubon Society, Trustee of The Katonah Museum of Art, Trustee of The Bedford Historical Society and is currently a member of the Advisory Board at Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts. She resides in Bedford, NY, has a son, a daughter-in-law and two granddaughters who live in Amherst, MA.
